Parents are equal members of the IEP but often feel they aren't heard at the IEP table. Do you want to know exactly what the parents of your student envision for their child? Do you want to collaborate with your students' parents to write an IEP that meets everyone's needs?  This training will teach you why it is important to make the parents feel heard and how to help them be heard.

You will learn how to have appropriate goals for your students based on data, how to involve the entire team in writing the goals, how the goals are directly tied to the PLAAFP, how many goals is too many, and much more!

What, if any, are the related services needed for your child? What are all the different types of related services that a child could benefit from?  Are parents entitled to some related services also? All these questions and more are answered in this training.

Placement is not a location.  It is determined by many factors such as: How long will it take each day/week/month to work on the goals?  What does the data show regarding how the child learns? What level of inclusion is appropriate? Have at least 3 options been considered?  This training also covers; Do you get to pick your favorite option? What drives placement?  How can you be sure the placement is least restrictive?  All of this and more is answered in this training.
