My lifelong goal was to be an educator.  Early on I only wanted to be a general educator.  I didn't want to work with "those" kids.  I was scared I wouldn't be able to teach them.  I was worried that all my efforts wouldn't be enough because of their learning challenges.  I was scared that I would fail as a teacher if I worked with kids with IEPs.  Read these stories to find that not only was I wrong, but my students surpassed all the "You can't" that was directed their way.

Digital Training

The Education Team_ Working with Parapro

This 30 minute video teacher training on working with paraprofessionals answers many questions that teachers ask.  What is my paraprofessional supposed to be doing?  What am I allowed to ask my paraeducator to do? What information can I share with my classroom assistant about the students?  What does the the aide want from me?  Also included is a PDF, 20 Points for Discussion: A guide to get the conversation moving.

This 40 minute training will answer the questions many paraprofessionals ask and all districts want them to know the answers too.  What am I supposed to be doing? What does help look like? Can I say "no" to a task? What is an IEP? and many more.  Also included is a PDF, 20 Points for Discussion: A guide to get the conversation moving.
